Gloria Reuben: Nationally Known Environmental Activist

Gloria Reuben, left, was born in Toronto, Canada and is best known for her role on the American television series ER as Jeanie Boulet, a physician assistant. She has starred in numerous other television and movie roles. In 2000, she sang back up for Tina Turner on her Twenty Four Seven Tour.

Reuben takes environmental issues very seriously and has participate in numerous events, including as a speaker at the 2010 Earth Day event on the National Mall. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Wildlife Federation. She is vice chair of the board of trustees of Robert F. Kennedy’s Waterkeeper Alliance, an advocacy group aimed at protecting waterways around the world. In 2009, The Daily Green recognized Reuben's environmental efforts with the Heart of Green Award.
