Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE)’s new senior vice president for regulatory and external affairs is Calvin G. Butler Jr. effective March 1, the energy firm announced.
In his new role, Butler will oversee the areas of regulatory, governmental and legislative affairs, communications and corporate relations for the central Maryland company.
Butler previously served as senior vice president of corporate affairs for Exelon and played a lead role in helping to bring to fruition the merger between Exelon and Constellation Energy. Prior to that, he held the position of senior vice president of human resources for Exelon.
Butler also served as senior vice president of corporate affairs with BGE’s sister utility, ComEd, where he managed state legislative initiatives, maintained strategic relationships with key state stakeholders and large customers, and oversaw real estate and facilities and economic development.
