African American National Parks Event

About

June 7th & 8th 2014, are the dates for this event. Please mark your calendars.

Description

The African American National Parks Day event group is organizing a day when African Americans across the country will congregate in one of their local National Parks and or National Monuments. The hope is for this project to gain as much attention as possible, to show that African Americans do enjoy the outdoors and will work to protect and maintain our precious resources. There are numerous stories of African Americans forging history in our national parks, such as the Buffalo Soldiers and Colonel Charles Young. Let's make sure their stories continue to be told.

Friends,

I just created a new petition and I hope you can sign -- it's called: "Save intellectual rights"

This issue is very important to me, and I’m trying to get to 100 signatures and could use your help.

Read more about it and sign it here:
https://secure.avaaz.org/en/petition/Save_intelectual_rights/?Day2Share

Campaigns like this always start small, but they grow when people like us get involved -- please take a second right now to help out by signing and passing it on.

Thanks so much,
Jenipher
